UBC Post 8 – Road Trip Day 2 – Coffee and Internet at Starbucks

Starbucks CupWith only one day left to be prepared for the interview I need to do tomorrow for The Youth Empowerment Telesummit, I realized that I had to find a way to connect or I would have to arrange for the guest to record the interview, then somehow figure out how I could have access to it in order to set it up for the air time.  Yikes, what to do?  This is where resourcefulness comes in handy and I am certainly resourceful.

So I went to Starbucks to see if I could make that work.  I had a fairly good connection there and my cell phone worked, however, it was so noisy that there was no way I could conduct a decent interview; it would have been too unprofessional and I would not have felt comfortable including it in the CD set I am selling.

Okay, time was going fast and I needed to create a plan.  I went back to my mom’s house and pulled out the paper looking for computer services when she mentioned that the community where she lives has a computer club.  Oh boy, that had possibilities.  We went through their directory and found the phone number for president of the club.  I called him and explained my dilemma and he told me I could come down to the computer club’s room at the club house at 11:30 a.m. and use their wifi connection and find a place to record my interview.
